Is it normal to still need to register?

i get this issues after installing nessus:
Your Nessus data directory is critically low on disk space (0MB avail). Take immediate action to increase available space.

this makes me unable to create new scan

server unreachable when i run the install script. i think i saw this mentioned somewhere but cant find it now,

I am on arch, but the script runs fine, just unreachable (so not fine, i guess)

EDIT: its literally on the page before this, nvm

is this an arch problem?

i still have yet to get this to work on Arch. I've gotten as far as getting it to load in browser, but it wouldnt load plugins so basically useless, then i nuked my arch install, so now im having trouble getting that far after reinstalling the OS. Due to a mysterious green fog, i cant remember exactly what i did to get that far, but it involved using debtap to create an arch-installable .pkg.tar.zst file, which i did, and installed successfully, but it didnt do anything as far as i can tell.

I tried just generally grep-ing it and only get nessus as part of other programs returned. anyone have any ideas? if im missing something simple, be cool about it, please, im no linux genius.

Have you already tried those?

It basically uses the AUR to download the version and install it
Then the cracking setup is the same from the .sh files, just adjust it to your needs / system.
Also make sure to follow the steps by hand, those scripts are not meant for Arch based systems or any similar like fedora / red hat / suse or whatever is not based on debian / ubuntu.

good ole arch wiki coming in clutch. no, i had not seen that, thank you. ill definitely give it a whack

Hi!

I just downloaded it and everything seems to be working fine.
I see that the plugins are loaded and they appear in advanced scan --> plugins.
However, I wanted to go further and try out the cloud part.
I'm encountering the following error when I try to save it:

Error: At least one audit must be added to this policy in the 'Compliance' section.

22.11.2023_22.39.04_REC.png

The problem is that this tab is missed. It should appear like this:

22.11.2023_22.36.31_REC.png

When I search online, it suggests that the "Compliance" tab should appear. I've tried reloading and updating the plugins (though the latter told me it was impossible because this copy is not registered). Any suggestions? Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? Thanks a million in advance!

ok, well ive managed to get it running but it wants a license key and needs an activation code to generate it. i didnt see anything about a keygen last time so im sure i fucked something up.

i think ive got it working, boys

@zen could you maybe tell me just if its normal or not? Many thanks

I do, in fact, have it running, possibly even running properly. i cant tell if the license is working though, because the fields where it displays the "License Expiration" and "Activation Code" info on the about page have N/A in them.

Can anyone confirm what a working install says in that regard?

I took the liberty of modifying the Ubuntu script to run on Arch and added some stuff to convert the .Deb to something pacman can install. If you guys want to look it over and post it here for the rare arch user, lmk

ok so here this links to the bash script and since i accidentally tab-entered too quick, the converted .deb file is also included, that can be installed with

Code:
#pacman -U nessus_blahblah.pkg.tar.zst

or

Code:
$yay -U nessus_blahblah.pkg.tar.zst

but if you run the script you dont need the other file, and if you use the file you dont need the script.

ANy uupdate on lastest set of plugins for nesssus or install?

When installing on a VM or VPS, there are differences in the vulnerability results. I noticed that the installation on a VPS showed different results than when I installed it on a VM.

how did you solve it?

fuck, It was already there but now it asks me for licenses and stupid things, how do I remove it?

i have the license menu error, how can i solve it??
