Nessus Professional for Linux 10.5.4

I modded the script, works with latest Kali and debian this is debian version not for Ubuntu. Change it from .txt to .sh I didn't know how to upload here so I used .txt so everyone can download and then change it to .sh I just modded to point to latest nessus version nothing more, thanks zen for the script and to those who helped with the creation of the script :)

I am getting this problem.
 
The script has been updated. Tenable changed the filename so it is debian10 not debian9. The Ubuntu script remains fine.

Hello all, I have a question.

Why is it when i start nessus it reaches out and calls cloudflare? that seems fishy to me..
I would think a program running locally on the machine will stay local and I can just use it and scan targets.

Fire up a sniffer and check. There aren't going to be connections to Cloudflare without some DNS resolution first, and knowing what the hosts are that are being requested would shed light on the purpose (ssl verification or revocation? dns or doh lookups? updates? telemetry? Also learn to troubleshoot a little - you can also use strace connect to the nessusd process and see syscalls etc.)

Oh, also if you are using a web browser on the same host you are seeing the cloudflare connections on, then obviously it's the million connections a web browser makes even if you aren't using Nessus.

you just had a network problem or something. just read the script and follow the steps. if another copy of the updates is needed (it is not) then there is this version pulled just now:
